I was so jealous when I saw girls with gorgeous long brown hair with super fit ombre at the tips, well I was jealous until I found this ! After spending an interesting amount of time chalking my hair one afternoon with Miss Laura and deciding we absolutely loved our new look I ordered the Color.Bug by Kevin Murphy . It's a little plastic cup handle which holds a large shadow pan, kind of like an eye shadow . The idea is to rub the pan of colour against the pieces of your hair that you want to ombre and it takes no time at all . You can brush it after for make the colour a little less strong and more pastel or add more shadow to make the pigment strong, it's really about how you want it personally and personally I prefer pastel shades . Being as pastel colours are so in this year this is the perfect product to chop & change your look , it washes out so easily so you can pick a different colour or you could even try multicoloured . Sadly the Color.Bug only comes in three colours (Pink , Purple and Coral) but all three look like so much fun , I know I was so excited when I first got mine . . . I can have pink hair whenever I want ! And just for the record I recommend it to you to . I frecking love this thing , I want more .

Batiste Dry Shampoo

Photobucket

I picked up a few cans of Batiste Dry Shampoo today because it is currently 3 for 2 at Boots , Bargain . I love this stuff . Every scent smells so yummy , as you'll see above the newest smelly is cherry which smells so good , it comes in 14+ different scents and now even comes in shades to match your hair colour . But I am not a fan of this product because of the reason displayed on the tin .
I mainly use it because of being a blonde ! My roots are much darker than the colour that my hair is dyed . Applying Batiste's light white talc product to my roots make them appear much lighter than they actually are . This is a god send between dying sessions . If you are any shade of blonde and want to banish that regrowth then bung a mini can in your handbag for on the go .
Also another awesome reason to use Batiste is for creating that just rolled out of bed look , adding a bit of body and texture to messy updo's . So if your into backcombing and lazy looking hair this is the way to go .

Warning
  1. An regular size can doesn't last very long at all , I go through a can so quickly and for the price per can (RRP £2.99) it can be a tad annoying having to repurchase so often .
  2.  Dry shampoo can lay on top of your hair when not rubbed into your roots , therefore (learning for embarrassing past experiences) when photos are taken with a flash shampoo becomes visible , it looks like thick grey roots . So be careful there .
  3. The coloured dry shampoo doesn't match every hair shade .
Are there any other dry shampoo's out there that you love and that you'd recommend ?

How Does Rapunzel Do It ?

My hair is all kinds of nightmares , extremely dry, with split ends and shorter than I'd like it because it is so dead ! Either I start looking after my bleach blonde head of hair or I am going to have to go for a less aggressive form of dying and a new colour . So while I was picking up the new VO5 Nourish Me Truly shampoo/conditioner for Damaged Hair I thought I grab the Miracle Concentrate Elixir with Argan Oil to go with it , as I had seen it on Fleur De forces blog as one of her seven of the best to test . It says on the bottle Been searching for that wonder product that will sort all of your hair woes? After reading that I was sucked in .

Photobucket
I am a fan of this beauty ! The little bottle is the perfect size to just throw in your handbag and use when needed to calm those fizzy ends in an emergency . It smells lush , it reminds me of the Avon classic Far Away which my Nan used to buy me when I was a kid . It leaves your hair smelling pretty , people had commented on my hair smelling good  after using this . I have not used it many times yet but it does leave my beaten hair soft to the touch . Every little bit helps so I'll continue to use this one to try and help my hair recover .

Photobucket
These two also smells yummy , leaving my hair super soft and silky . Hopefully this along with the Argan Oil will turn things around for my hair .

Does anyone recommend a shampoo & condition for dry damaged hair ?

Hair Donut

This thing looks like something from the 80's and I when I got it on from a cheap makeup store I was like is this really going to work ? It's a donut ?! But I'd wanted one for a while after seeing it used in a magazine . So I was sat in the car with my mother on the way home from shopping , with my hair lucky already in a ponytail and I was dying to see what it would look right there and then .

Photobucket

I put my ponytail through the centre on the donut and separated my hair in two . Then wrapped pieces of hair over and under the donut , securing it with bobby pins . EASY ! It created a big bun with barely any hair . Make sure you pick the right colour donut for your hair colour as it may be a little visable .

Photobucket

This is my new most favourite thing . Purely because it creates something so stylish from something so simple . And because it will give my hair a well needed rest . You can give your hair a little blow-dry from wet then there is no need for hot hair straighteners . Just pin away at your bun .
