I am often being reluctantly pulled away from my beloved high end product purchases and pointed in the direction of a good dupe or just generally good, more affordable item by friends, bloggers and youtubers. You get what you pay for is what I have always been taught but is that always the case?

I saw this palette reviewed somewhere a few months ago, rumoured to be a Urban Decay Naked2 dupe. At the time I thought nothing of it then this week a work colleague mentioned needing a dupe for her Naked2 palette and this popped into my head... by the end of the day I'd made a purchase.

The product The whole product looks attractive enough, simple sleek white packaging, instead of their usual black, displaying 12 shades. The 12 shades inside are perfect for creating your simple day to day look or creating a smokey eye for a night out. You've got plenty to choose from, there are some beautiful earthy tones in there... with great pigment. They apply easy and smoothly, not as smooth as Urban Decay but for the price they settle well enough.

MUA vs Urban Decay Urban Decay wins for me, come on the second Naked palette was a right trooper... The new packaging, the shades and the double ended brush.. .it's a legend and cannot be replaced but the MUA palette is a outstanding runner up and a must-have alternative.

Should you buy it? Why wouldn't you! 12 shadow shades for just £4. It's a stonking little back up as it won't ever let you down. Suitable for everyone so recommend to your friends, they'll thank you for it.

I had to show you guys this sale bargain cheap lippy I nabbed from the Jack Wills sale for £2 ! Two  freaking quid ! Can I grubble . . . err nop . I would of had more but there was nothing left that took me fancy . This particular one is shade SweetPea . It's a coraly powder pink . . . It reminds me of the MAC Viva Glam Nicki that is out at the moment but a little less neon . It's got staying power and it's glossy smooth . I wouldn't say Wills are known for their make up range but I was more than impressed with this beaut .  If you see any left in stores , swatch away and get a bargain . End of , great sale catch from Jack Wills .

Have you tried any beauty products from Jack Wills ? Let me know : ]

Chanel Vitalumière Aqua

I waited so long to purchase this foundation , mostly purely down to it's bulky price tag . . . At £31 it is one of the more expensive highend foundations . I got mine for £27 because Debenhams were holding an 10% off beauty event , this was down to pure luck and I probably won't be so lucky to stumble across it again discounted . Anyway I can safely say with hand upon heart that I love it so very much ! And will repurchase this without a doubt . . . Read on and you see why .

Appearance This foundation is as stated a medium coverage foundation so does not provide as much coverage as say the Estée Lauder Double Wear but the coverage is perfect for this foundation . It is very light in texture and It makes my skin look amazing ! It is basically a second skin , it gives a beautiful fresh natural appearance , it is a semi matt foundation but can look slightly dewy under the eye area . I brought this particular Chanel foundation after I sampled both the Vitalumière Aqua and Perfection Lumiere . There was nothing wrong with the Perfection , it was a lovely foundation but was just more coverage than the Aqua and for a medium-full foundation I have Double Wear so wanted the more natural looking foundation for the days you want less heavy looking make up .

To apply  I don't want my 187 MAC brush or a sponge to soak up any of this product so as suggested by Chanel I apply this foundation with my fingers . If you use this foundation and try applying it this way you'll understand , it needs a lighter touch and it's just nice to feel really . I like to apply a smidge of Double Wear to the areas , such as much cheeks and chin , for that extra reassurance . Also make sure you shake the bottle really well , and I mean really well because the formula separates in the bottle .

* Small Bottle The size of the bottle is a total optical illusion . It's 30ml , same as all other Chanel foundations . If you look through your foundations I am sure you'll see they are all also around the 30ml mark , so there is no skimping on the amount in the bottle here *

If you were looking for a naughty splurge treat for yourself I'd say this is definitely it .

What do you think of the Chanel foundations ? Let me know if you go out and buy this yourselves, let me know what you make of it ?
