Chanel Vitalumière Aqua

I waited so long to purchase this foundation , mostly purely down to it's bulky price tag . . . At £31 it is one of the more expensive highend foundations . I got mine for £27 because Debenhams were holding an 10% off beauty event , this was down to pure luck and I probably won't be so lucky to stumble across it again discounted . Anyway I can safely say with hand upon heart that I love it so very much ! And will repurchase this without a doubt . . . Read on and you see why .

Appearance This foundation is as stated a medium coverage foundation so does not provide as much coverage as say the Estée Lauder Double Wear but the coverage is perfect for this foundation . It is very light in texture and It makes my skin look amazing ! It is basically a second skin , it gives a beautiful fresh natural appearance , it is a semi matt foundation but can look slightly dewy under the eye area . I brought this particular Chanel foundation after I sampled both the Vitalumière Aqua and Perfection Lumiere . There was nothing wrong with the Perfection , it was a lovely foundation but was just more coverage than the Aqua and for a medium-full foundation I have Double Wear so wanted the more natural looking foundation for the days you want less heavy looking make up .

To apply  I don't want my 187 MAC brush or a sponge to soak up any of this product so as suggested by Chanel I apply this foundation with my fingers . If you use this foundation and try applying it this way you'll understand , it needs a lighter touch and it's just nice to feel really . I like to apply a smidge of Double Wear to the areas , such as much cheeks and chin , for that extra reassurance . Also make sure you shake the bottle really well , and I mean really well because the formula separates in the bottle .

* Small Bottle The size of the bottle is a total optical illusion . It's 30ml , same as all other Chanel foundations . If you look through your foundations I am sure you'll see they are all also around the 30ml mark , so there is no skimping on the amount in the bottle here *

If you were looking for a naughty splurge treat for yourself I'd say this is definitely it .

What do you think of the Chanel foundations ? Let me know if you go out and buy this yourselves, let me know what you make of it ?

This is one of them nosey posts we all love , it's our guilty pleasure . So the above are lots of the products I horde in my bedroom/WC/Toilet/Shower . I have so very many shampoos and conditioners as I have a thing about washing my hair with a different product everyday because of build up on my roots ! Eww .  Either way you can you can never have enough bottles in your shower , you need them all there incase one bottle runs out . . . keep supplies high .

My Top Three

Lee Stafford Bleach Blondes This is an super amazing product for us with blonde hair wanting to remove any brassy , canary tones . I'd recommend this to every blonde ! It pulls out all those yucky unwanted tones and with a few washes makes your hair whiter and white . Try it and you'll see the beautiful effects . With over use though your hair will tinge purple .
Pear's Soap My mother used to buy this all the time when I was a kid . I would wash my hand in amazement at this transparent bar . Now as an adult I spotted it the other month in Tesco and picked it up to see if it was as good as I remembered . IT'S BETTER . Nothing leaves my skin feeling as clean as when I have used this soap . I use it everyday but once/twice a week I use my grapefruit scrub to remove any dead skin . Also it's only 50p, you can't go wrong . (if you get the chance to try the Soft Clean by Estee Lauder worship it as it's pure heaven , I can't put into words how much my face loved it BUT it's £20 a bottle
Soap & Glory Flake Way If you use this then you'll know what I am on about . . . it's luxury . It's aimed to removed dead skin from your pins leaving them smooth and smelling yummy . I like to use this when I am about to shave my legs because it removed all flakey skin before you remove all hair . I also have a little scrub just before I am about to fake tan .

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation

Photobucket
Ecru / Ivory Beige

I picked up a new bottle of foundation on Saturday because I needed a new Shade to match my fake tan .

I swear by Double Wear because as it is such an amazing foundation (if you use it then you will no what I am talking about) . After using for example MAC Studio Fix , Clinique Perfectly Real Makeup and Bourjois Healthy Mix , I find Double Wear goes on even and lasts all day , I don't get it all over my clothes and it doesn't break me out , unlike the few stated above .
  • It is matte
  • It gives a buildable full coverage
  • Lasts all day and does not rub off
  • IT IS PERFECT
It is £26.50 a bottle but I always get matched , take a sample , try it out then go back and buy the full size bottle . So if you just want to give it a try then go to your local counter and ask them if they could match you up and get a sample to try it out before you buy .
Only flaws it is a tad stiff to apply so you need to warm it on the back of your hand and apply it quickly . Also it does not come with a pump but the MAC foundation pump will fit this bottle .
