Don't Steal My Limelight

 OPI Rainbow Collection / Essie Funky Limelight 

You'll of seen this glitter polish before (load of times) It's the glittery OPI Rainbow collection polish and I love it . . . I use it 90% of the time on my nails , it's my second bottle so far . I whack it on top of most of my polishes to make them sparkle . I have a few posts using this so if you back log you can see them . Anyway I put these two fitties together and boom ^^^this^^^ is what you get . I purchased the sexy little neon from eBay last week . Sadly it was a mini from a previous mini collection so it's only gonna last like five minutes . I am gonna get on a hunt for some neons , you can get neon greeny yellows all over the place and I am dying to get hold of a pink . Anyone have any to recommend ?

NakedGlitter

A simple little post showing you my weekend nails , prettyful huh . I got asked how long it took me to do these . . . 5 minutes easy , but hott . So it's a strengthening coat to begin as my nails are flaky and weak after years of acyclic abuse . A nude basis coat because it's bang on trend . Then a glitter to attract the eye then a glassy top coat to finish everything off . Done and that's it .  Hope your all okieee and Happy Tuesday !

Nail Hunger

 

Above is a wish list for my ugly nails this February . Sadly GRR one by one my poorly weak nails are breaking , this is due to years and years of abuse via acrylic overlays . They are always in desperate need of lots of serious TLC and what better way to show them some love than to buy a few new lush lacquer's . These four are a few I have seen worn by other bloggers and reviewed on YouTube .

Sunday Nails

The weekends would appear to be the days I chose to repaint my nails and give you a little peek at them , a weekend well spent . As you'll see I have a slight addict to OPI's Rainbow collection , I seem to wear it all the time . . . it is a real firm favorite of mine (and SimplyJustNatalie's , she blogged the same polish a few days ago after a rather long mission to get hold of it) and it is a real eye catcher , while serving a lady today she grabbed my mit and starting yapping on about how great my nails looked . Only problem with Rainbow Collections is after a few days of wear it can flake off in one huge piece, worth it though . Anyway this time I have pair it up with Barry M's pretty pastel colour Berry 308 . Yum.

 Mmm lazy Sunday . . . all day in bed with my laptop . All I intend to do is post , post & post and watch F·R·I·E·N·D·S ! As you'll see I did get up to paint my nails though . The BabyDoll polish was another goody from a previous Glossy Box . A massive dislike for us who love wearing a rainbow array of nail colours throughout the week is the drying time of polish , do you ever paint your nails in the late evening and wake up in the morning with the print of your duvet on each finger ? Annoying . . . & Smudging , breaks your heart after all that hard work . I am currently typing this like a total spazz because my loaded layers of colour are still a tad tacky . Hope you like them : ]

Deborah Lippmann Razzle Dazzle

This was one of the products I received in , I think it was my Glossy Box in November ? Or maybe December ? December it was . Thank You Glossy Box . Anyway I would have never of picked this up if I had seen it in a store and purchase it but as it was just sitting on my desk looking rather sorry for it's self and my toes were at the time naked , I thought I'd give it a quickie to see what it was like on . WOW , I think I applied two - three coats and it looks AWESOME ! I reckon it looks more like a glittery gel when it's on which is a lovely little bonus . For a full size bottle it is like £16 which is not to bad for what you are getting . I do usually use OPI polishes but I may of found a new love .

My mother works a charity shop (yes she gets paid) in the town I also work in . This town is rather obsolete and most that live here have more money than I'd care to know . . . but this holds huge advantages ! Loaded people throwing our brand new beautiful things . . . For magpies like me and you to salvage ! At least they bring it to the charity shop and don't throw it in the bin hey , always think twice before you throw your crap out .

Another advantage is having people in the right places . . . mother gets first picks at donations and keeps an eye open for the brands she knows I love and anything else that I may like . Ooh secondhand cheap goodies . STORY Once upon a time lovely mother brought home some cushions and throws , once I laid my eyes upon them I immediately knew they were Laura Ashley and NEW SEASON because I had looked at them when buying my bed . After checking the Laura Ashley website we came to a shocking discovery . . . all that she had brought home to horde equalled a total of £200 ! Who throws out brand new Laura Ashley cushions ?! Madness . Your lose , is my gain .

Don't just pass charity shops by without a second glance because there may be little gems hidden inside just waiting for you , don't leave them behind . It is always worth a quick swoop , you could get lucky . Also always pass your unwanted bits & bobs on , your rubbish maybe some elses gain .

Rainbow Bright

I am super down and out today BECAUSE know one (not even my mother) will go with me to Norwich . It's an hourish drive and I am not going it alone , I'll get lonely . I was gagging to get my mitts on a few of the Christmas Yankee Candles to make my room smell sweeeet AND I wanted to hit Mac ! (& Lush & Topshop & all the other shops in Norwich) Ooh well , maybe another day huh : / Grr to living out in the sticks ! So for now all I have to do all day is lay in bed and possibly publish a load of posts I have drafted .



Post 1 . OPI went hand in hand with the Muppets this autumn to release twelve mega super glitter packed polishes . My favorite was clearly the Rainbow Collection polish as it is so jammed with different flecks of glitter . I found you have to layer a number of coats (three - four) to get the full effect and I finished mine off with a glassy top coat for a nice finish and seal . Apologies for the picture quality , it is really shiny which made it difficult to get a good picture , if anything the picture really does not do it justice. But anyways , this vanish is perfect for Christmas and New Years because it is OTT glam !

OPI - Nice Stems - I Lily Love You

I picked this up from Jarrods this week after regreting not buying it last time I saw it and not being able to find it online . 

• TIP Always buy what you love when you see it as you will only kick yourself when it is to late and out of stock FOREVER !

This one is I Lily Love you from the Nice Stems collection . It is perfect for that summer sunshine (that we have not seen yet) . It is a clear pink colour full of glitter flecks which catch the light .

My Ugly Nails

I use to have acrylic nails done every 2-3 weeks without fail for three years . . . But about two months ago I took the leap and took them off .

My lovely friend Bexx's dad gave me some pure acetone from his garden shed (don't do this at home by the way , unless you know what you are doing) and off I set for "The Removal" . It took me ages . Firstly I cut my nails right down , quite abit of the acrylic chipped off . Then I dipped fingertip sized pieces of cotton wool into the acetone , rested the wet piece over the nail then wrapped the nail in square of tin foil . You should leave for 30ish minutes then remove the gooey acylic with an orange stick .

This only worked for me a little so I few days later after giving my fingers a rest , I held my fingertips in a bowl with the remained of the acetone and chipped away again . The thinnest layer of acrylic was left and over the next couple of days it pinged off .

Now I use OPI Nail Envy to try and strengthen my poor little paper thin nails . I can safey say they are getting stronger but not what they were years ago , they are still soft but the Nail Envy hardens them enough that they don't break every time I tap them . I should layer on Nail Envy twice a day but I usually just put it on every other day and it works for me . I also use Avoplex oil by OPI for my cuticles , it's got a nice sweet fruity smell to it . Your OK to put any nail polish over Nail Envy .
